Today’s card is pretty self explanatory, but why not take a look at it anyway? The card:
10 of Wands
The traditional representation of this card really makes me wonder why I identify so much with the Queen of Wands. In fact, I really detest the journey of the Wands suit. At the end of the journey, we have too much, our burden is too heavy, and we are probably still tired. Why does this seem like a good thing to anyone? Is it because the 10 of Swords is that much worse?
The Gilded Tarot seems to be the only one that makes this card somewhat positive. Perhaps the one that captures how I feel most with this card though, is the Mythic Tarot. There’s boredom, feeling overwhelmed, perhaps somewhat stifled. This is what we wanted, and yet, it didn’t turn out quite how we expected in the end.
“The qualities of Wands–passions, temper, creativity, energy, spirit, ambition-need some restrictions, as in the eight of wands, to make them faster and more efficient. When they become too restricted, however, or given so many tasks that the energy is parceled out into many portions, then nothing can thrive. All the energy can do, at best, is maintain itself. “
