Today’s tarot card is the Four of Pentacles. What’s that mean for me with it’s right angles, strict rules, and restricted space? Well, I’m not sure. But, it does sound the perfect environment to do another tarot spread. So, let’s get started!
With the current themes going on in the Deepening Your Connection To Self Tarot Spread and the New Moon Tarot Spread, I decided, when choosing a spread for today, that The Muse Spread was appropriate. When I think of a Muse, I think of one specific Muse. This might be helpful if my previous drawing of the Page of Swords is correct. Too many ideas spinning around still might have a root Muse, and I’d love to know which one! Likewise, the Four of Pentacles seems to be hinting that I’m getting too limited at the same time. Perhaps, even feeling trapped. So, here’s the spread:
1. What Creative Energies Are Working Through Me: Knight Of Pentacles
This card is generally linked to longer term projects. For me, Pentacles tend to relate to monetary pursuits. So, in its purest state, this card is about pursuing a monetary project. The creative energy I have is focused on this, although, ironically in the long term. I’m not looking to start a project that will be over in a few years, but one that will last. To me, this is a promising card in this spot.
2. What Energies Are Blocking My Creativity: 7 Of Pentacles
Actually, this is a difficult card for me to understand in this specific spot. There’s the hint that I could be impatient, wanting more too quickly. The other side to this though is that I could be moving onto another project too quickly as well. Either way, my problem is not on focusing on what I should be. I’ve put forth work and effort toward something, and I need to wait for fate to give it to me (as harsh as that sounds). Waiting is tough.
3. What Is My Source Of Inspiration: The Hanged Man
Surrender. To me, this card is all about surrendering to what fate will reveal. The source of my inspiration comes from internal reflection and thinking, though not too deeply. This is more about trying to notice patterns. Personally, I’m asking what the Occult community is lacking. That kind of fits this category and this card. I’m waiting for that moment, even though, in some ways, I’ve already had it. There’s that fine edge between inspiration and the source of inspiration.
4. How Can I Channel It: 10 of Pentacles
Stability. How ironic to get this card while keeping in mind today’s overall card. The 10 of Pentacles is one of those cards that I see as an overall positive. When thinking about it in terms of how to channel that energy though, it’s a little difference. This hints that I need to channel my inspiration toward finding a strong foundation, one of stability and satisfaction. Happiness is possible, but it’s something that needs to be worked toward.
5. What Are The Potential Outcomes: The Star
As a potential outcome, The Star is actually quite nice. To me, The Star brings with it a sense of knowing what I want. Who I truly am after everything. But, The Star also brings with it all those terrible cards before hand. Rapid change, extremes to the point of feeling captive, and just pure exhaustion all lead up to The Star. Is this always the case? No. But, it’s worth keeping those things in mind. Overall, The Star speaks to knowing who I am, what I want, and not being afraid to acknowledge it.
A Note: I first did this spread and didn’t like my results as they felt off (not communicating well to me), but I get it now. You might be interested in the compare and contrast: 1. The Fool. 2. Page of Cups. 3. Ace of Cups. 4. Temperance. 5. 10 of Wands.
