There’s something weird in the air, but it is the weekend. Isn’t it to be expected? Well, whatever is causing that lingering oddness, it’s showing in my tarot readings. Today’s card is going to make you do a double take, but that’s alright, I understand why! Here’s your card for today:
Three of Pentacles
The Solar Plexus Tarot Spread
Alright, I know, it’s definitely weird. On the day I’m reviewing the spread I drew yesterday, I get the exact same card. The deck, just for those wondering, was done for a different reading and shuffled about three or four times. Coincidences happen, but I get to share this one with you. I mentioned yesterday I did a spread to figure out what was causing some issues in my solar plexus chakra. Today, I’m going to give the reading for those cards. So, in case you didn’t look it up yesterday, here is the spread layout:
1. Card Representing My Solar Plexus – 9 of Cups
The 9 of Cups is a card of pleasure and contentment. This means that my sphere of self-esteem, confidence, and identity is relatively healthy. There’s a side to the 9 of Cups thought that hints at avoidance. In some ways, I think that’s where this card really comes through. The card that is generally positive, suddenly to me, takes on a bit of a negative spin. That’s okay, that’s what personal symbolism is about. But in general, I may be overstating how bad the card is too. There’s nothing wrong with the chakra, but avoidance is the key to understanding the room for improvement.
2. How I Can Better Use My Logic – Knight of Pentacles
The Knight of Pentacles is a complex card really. Pentacles are a suit rooted in the material or practical. Knights however, generally represent a pursuit or journey. Many adventures are not practical. Thus, the Knight of Pentacles actually represents a subdued internal nature in favor of outward practicality. To better use my logic, I have to be a little more practical. Perhaps I need to subdue a more impulsive nature, or, I need to remember what motivates me at the core. Either way, my core nature needs to be focused on and brought to surface.
3. A Way I Can Be More Proactive – 2 of Swords
The 2 of Swords is a card continuously linked to that of Justice. Echoes of Justice can be found in the 2 of Swords, though as an opposite or perhaps higher influence. This is the key lesson of this card for me in particular. I need to be more proactive by taking off the blindfold, and making a choice. There are parts of my self-confidence and identity relying too heavily on emotion and not enough on honesty. That’s why this card might actually appear in the spread instead of a representation of the chakra. Double cards might tend to stand for a higher idea or influence.
4. Good Way To Balance This Chakra – Page of Pentacles
The Page of Pentacles is a card of fascination, where the Knight of Pentacles was one of action. There’s a sense of balance between the two cards, and a balance would be entirely possible. With the Page, there’s a sense of amazement and newfound wonderment in the work. Perhaps this hints that my sense of self needs to find enjoyment again. I need to remember what once brought me the sheer delight of studying. This does seem to touch on a few nerves, so it’s probably accurate. Best just to soak up some knowledge and love that for what it is.
5. Result of Balancing This Chakra – King of Wands
The King of Wands is the embodiment of all things self-confidence. I’m not that surprised by the idea that remembering the joy of knowledge would give way to confidence in self. There’s just something within me that intuitively knows that to be true. There’s also a huge source of optimism within the King of Wands, and I do need that in my life. Overall, I wouldn’t have thought to pick this card as an end result, but it does make sense. Also, the King of Wands has its own sense of appeal. But, look at its embodied qualities, how could it not? Positivity abounds, if we know how to get it within ourselves.
